ADVANTAGES OF COMPARTMENTALISED, OFF-LINE CLEANING, BAG FILTER SYSTEMS

 

1.Only off-line reverse Jet-Pulse cleaning will achieve maximum efficient cleaning at all times. It will also permit high filtration velocities, higher collection efficiencies, reduced compressed air consumption reduced bag wear and reduced fatigue failure in the support cages.
 

2.Single type individual compartments ensures no production downtime during bag changes as each single compartment can be isolated. By isolating a compartment of a reverse Jet-Pulse filter and then operating the jets in that compartment, cleaning also takes place under no flow conditions.

 

Off-line cleaning allows the dislodged dust plenty of time to fall into the filter hopper, be it fine, dry or otherwise.

 

The operation of the compartment isolating damper allows air into the compartment gradually, thus eliminating fierce snapback and its associated dust seepage and support cage fatigue.

 

Furthermore, because the reverse jets now operate against the nil-pressure differential resulting from no air flow conditions, the cleaning effect can either be that much more vigorous or the pressure of the compressed air used for cleaning, can be reduced.

 

3.When the additional filtration area is required, the simple add on system of single separate compartments is very advantageous and far less costly than other types of singularly manufactured units which cannot be extended.

 

In our design procedures, we will always ensure that there is space for extension and that fans are purposefully designed with more than 20% in hand.

 

4.For ease and simplicity of erection, all single compartments are designed to fit on the back of a standard long wheel base, eight-ton truck. No need for abnormal loads or oversized, expensive cranes required.

 

5.A gas inlet near the housing top is of substantial advantage compared to a gas inlet near the bottom. With the bottom entry, the net upward gas velocity within the housing will be greatest at the housing bottom where the entire gas stream must enter and flow upwards to be filtered.

 

6.The performance of a Jet-Pulse filter is also adversely affected by re-deposition of dust on the bags during on-line cleaning.

 

7.The new system also lends itself to easy installation of Roof Structures overhead.
